Circuit breaker has been very interesting. With Tsuta Singapore & MRS PHO , I experience firsthand the challenges of being in the F&B business. It’s definitely been a period of growth, pause and massive action.⠀⠀At the start, I was filled with confusion, anger, grief… I couldn’t fathom what was happening. How the world changed so drastically, so quickly. I can’t tell how long this is going to last but one thing I know, life is going to change irrevocably. It’s terrifying.
I started a gratitude journal to focus on my blessings. On most days, it can simply be enjoying food when many are suffering, like this warm piping bowl of Tsuta ramen or hearty Mrs Pho dishes! ⠀⠀
Every day, I’m very thankful to my teams and partners for walking through the trenches together and keeping the good fight. Even if there are days that I feel like I am merely trudging along, dragging our feet painfully with no clear destination, except an inch forward. ⠀⠀
I’m also eternally grateful to many of you who have supported both brands. That you ordered, rallied friends and family to help our brands. I’m not sure how I can ever repay your kindness but please know that the teams are very appreciative and we will always strive harder. ⠀⠀⠀
With every crisis, you learn to adapt, pivot and hopefully, thrive. It’s been humbling but it’s definitely made all of us stronger. ⠀⠀
Keep fighting, keep believing and keep safe. ⠀
